Villa Marin Scholarship Fund
of the Marin Community Foundation

Employees or the children of employees of six Marin County retirement facilities are eligible to receive scholarships to help achieve their post-secondary educational goals. These facilities include The Aldersly, Drake Terrace, The Redwoods, Smith Ranch, The Tamalpais, and Villa Marin.

The scholarships are funded by tax-deductible contributions to the Marin Community Foundation, a 501(3)(c) nonprofit corporation. The Villa Marin Scholarship Committee works with the scholarship arm of the Foundation, the Marin Education Fund, in establishing the criteria and granting the awards.

Contributions in any amount are welcome, including memorial or honorary contributions. Gift envelopes are available at each of the six facilities, or donors may contact the Marin Community Foundation directly.

Application forms are available in early March each year at the Marin Education Fund (click here), and at the six retirement facilities. The application deadline is April 30 of each year. Annual awards are announced in early August.
